I just recently discovered an animal protection asociation..it is SO WEIRD to find this kind of help for homeless animals here in mexico, and it is even more weird when you see they're actually helping them and not just stealing money from people.
Remember i had 3 stray dogs living in front of my house?? well...after so much i just found this amazing people who gave 2 of this dogs a new home...i couldnt dare to talk to anyone before to come pick them up because i didnt knew any association and i was afraid they could harm the dogs because this kind of asociations allways ask for money to sterilize/ and give them food and you can never be sure if they only help for the money, i mean, the dogs are quite safe here because i give them food and water everyday but it is still hard to see them living in the streets without me being able to do any more.
anyway, i just found out about this new one "MundoPatitas" and i decided to give it a try and see if i could get a home for the newest dog "Lucas" (The others are jackass and linda
) i was (as usual) expecting them to ask me for money, but 4 my surprise they didnt do it, they just took all responsability for him (and i mean ALL) and i told them: do i have to give money? and they say i didnt had to, they just came for him and took him to the vet and then they got him a new home today, where he'll be safe and loved.

And now they're comming for Linda tomorrow but its goin to be like really hard for them, since they have to cover all expenses because we think she's pregnant, i wasnt told anything about givin money (again), i just assume it because...i mean...all the stuff aint free and its a VERY VERY reduced group of people, i allways see the same people givin money and donating food and meds...it looks like they barely get any help yet they're allways recieving new dogs, and i like the fact that if people want to take care of a dog till he/she gets a home you dont even have to put a penny for food and vet care, they just hand the dog over and cover all expenses, you just have to give him a place to sleep and make sure he gets everyday the food the association gaves you for free.
I was so unsure about it because it looked TOO good to be true, but i guess there's still good people in the world who really care about pets and thats something i just cannot be blind about, there's no laws here for animal cruelty and i think its AWESOME just to find this kind of people who can really take care of a dog without asking anything in return.
The association does not ask for money as donation as much as they ask for food, meds and medical supplies, of course they do have a bank account as everyone cause donations are AAALLLWAYS wellcome, but i allways see them struggling to get food and meds, my dad's gonna give them some btw.
I already made a donation and i will keep doing it as long as i can because im really grateful they gave/will give my dogs a home where they can be happy, but i wanted to ask you guys for your help...i dont want this to become in a OMG, MONEY AGAIN journal...i ask you to please donate 1 dollar or less (no more) so this wont be misunderstood...with 10-20 dollars they can buy food, or meds, anything to help the dogs...and you wont feel like your being ripped off.

Please, stick to this matter...i really dont need to read people saying this associations are made to steal money from people because this one i saw with my bare eyes and i can assure you it is real honest people wanting to help animals...i wouldnt put myself in such an incomfortable position for someone who didnt deserve it.

Te cuento que aca en ecuador, en guayaquil que es la ciudad donde yo vivo, hay una fundacion que se llama FADA, fundacion amigos de los animales, y ellos recojen perros de la calle en mal estado, y los curan, les dan atencion y luego les encuentran un hogar, aparte de esto tienen ellos mismos una veterinaria, y los precios son mas baratos ahi, por vacunas y por atenderlos y cosas asi te cobran menos que en otros lugares.
Entonces si una persona lleva su perro o su gato a hacerse atender ahi, estas ayudando a todos los animalitos que ellos rescatan tambien.
Ellos tambien aceptan donaciones, hacen ferias de dulces, ferias de animalitos, donde la gente concursa con su mascota. y la gente paga la entrada, y bueno asi consiguen fondos.
Fada tambien tiene un lugar donde tiene los animalitos rescatados hasta encontrarles hogar, es un terreno mas o menos grande cerrado.
Y bueno como veras ellos mismos se encargan de recojer animales en mal estado. Tu puedes informarles que en un sector o por tu casa hay un perrito enfermo y ellos se ponen en contacto contigo a ver como se puede hacer para recojerlo, eso no te cuesta a ti tampoco.
Obviamente ellos tambien estan a full aveces pero hacen lo que pueden.
Mi novia y yo hemos ayudado a varios, pero el problema es que una vez que empiezas no puedes parar, siempre llega o te topas con otro animalito callejero, y tienes que ayudarlo no lo puedes dejar morir. Y si a uno le toca pagar muchas veces por que aveces son emergencias, y Fada está cerrado, y lo llevas a otro sitio.
Por la casa de mi novia le dabamos de comer a 4 perritos, todos los dias, 2 o 3 veces al dia, 1 ya murio de viejito y lo enterramos en el parque de alfrente, a otra la atropeyaron y la mataron, pero dio a luz a 3 perritos unas semanas antes de que la atropeyen, luego a uno de los hijos lo atropeyaron, y nosotros no queriamos que los otros sufran la misma suerte, asi que los adoptamos a los dos hijitos que quedaban, y a otro perrito mas, tenemos 3 perros ahorita.
Y aparte de los perros, tenemos mas de 20 gatos, todos recojidos de la calle, muchos se los recojieron moribundos, atropeyados, enfermos, o peor.
La idea siempre es recojerlos, para curarlos y darlos despues en adopcion, pero aveces uno se encariña mucho y no puedes despues darlos en adopcion.
it is so hard to have to deal with animal cruelty, its not fair. I can't believe people can be soooo mean!

Again it's great that you got involved. If more people took a little time, like you did, to help an animal in need, there would be a lot less animals NEEDING help!
