Very good, but the only true Justice for her would be to make her come to life. Damn your fantastic imagination. I love her clothes, and that sword design is pretty unique. What made you want her to have a nearly transparent blade?
Hehe... Noticing some comments here about Friel's "shape"... Don't blame Lavah for that!
She is not an elf... It's a bit more complex than that. Those feathers are her own. She is a weapon and every aspect of her body has been created by herself to ensure she is successful in her role, including the deliberately exaggerated proportions. She knows most violence is instigated my males so boobs and wild coloration are all there to distract for the milliseconds she needs.
All Lavah did was capture Friel perfectly. She is one of the most talented and creative artists I have had the pleasure to work with. She breathed form into a character I did not precisely describe; she worked from snippets of description buried among motivations, roles in life and sidebars of history. I like to give artists room to manoeuvre, to stamp their own identity on these creations, as the sum of both is far greater than anything I could achieve.
No... That is not how I imagined her armour or sword... But you can bet from now on it will be!
Commissions should be an opportunity for a creative partnership, not one person slavishly following the whims of another. Give a talented artist some freedom to be an artist and you will be stunned by the results.
As I was here!
Or am I speaking rubbish?
I have many more commissions for artists that like to work this way!
